So much for the baby blues, I call them the bad body blues! LOL! I was looking back at "old" pictures, from pre-pregnancy and I honestly wish I never complained before! I highly recommend not looking at old pictures until you have lost your weight. I know, I know, I just had a baby 3 months ago and yada yada yada. But, it so hard being in this in between stage. I don't want to buy new clothes, because I am determined to get back down to where I was pre-pregnancy. It makes it even harder when my job requires that I wear professional attire. I have resulted to Spanx :) When I was at home on maternity leave, it was so great, I basically wore PJ's all day and did not have to worry about seeing my muffin top. I know that I will eventually get back to where I was, I just wish it would be tomorrow:) Oh, by the way, do NOT try on a bathing suit when you still have weight to lose and have those lovely squiggly things called stretch marks, just trust me on this one. Speaking of those squiggly things: those Palmer's commercials on TV that swear that if you rub on cocoa butter, you will look like the model on TV, do NOT believe them. Number 1, I am not a model and number 2, that B*ITCH isn't even pregnant! I honestly had $70 stretch mark cream that I got from Pea in the Pod (I got it for free, because I spent a small fortune) and that crap did not even work. Moral of the story, do not waste your money because I lathered up every morning and night for my entire pregnancy and still got those cute little lines. I hate to say this but, if your momma had them, you will probably get them too. Another thing, I did not gain any weight for the first 17 weeks of my pregnancy and then BAM, I gained everything in my last 2 trimesters. Gaining weight quickly makes those little boogers rear their nasty head. However, I was lucky, I did not have them on my stomach, I just had them on my sides. But, after Blake was born (literally like the next day) I developed them on my stomach. It is from the skin being so tight and then being loose. But, I would take a million stretch marks to have my baby girl :) They are so worth it and your husband/significant other will think you are even more beautiful because of the amazing gift you just gave him. *Mine have started to fade though, so I am optimistic :)
Another bad body blue, your boobs. Those will never be the same. End of story.
Third, hemorrhoids...need I say more?! And fourth, my hair has started to thin and become more oily. Perfect.
Dear God, please give me my body back :) AMEN! No, seriously, I mean it.
PS, the good news is, all of these bad body blues will go away, or so my Doctor has told me. There is a light at the end of that tunnel! My Dr. told me that it takes about 3 period cycles for things to be back to "normal," after you are finished breastfeeding. She told me that the weight will come off easier after those 3 cycles. We will see Doc...
